João Paulo Teixeira condamné à près de 30 ans de prison pour le meurtre de Thalita Berquó

La cour d'assises de Guará a condamné João Paulo Teixeira à 29 ans, 11 mois et 23 jours de réclusion criminelle pour le meurtre et le démembrement de Thalita Marques Berquó Ramos en janvier 2025.

Le crime a eu lieu le 13 janvier 2025, dans un campement illégal situé au parc écologique Ezechias Heringer, dans le district fédéral. Thalita, âgée de 36 ans, a été tuée à coups de pierres et de couteau à la suite d'un différend concernant la qualité de stupéfiants. Son corps a été démembré ; la tête et les jambes ont été jetées dans un cours d'eau tandis que le torse a été enterré sur place.

João Paulo Teixeira a été reconnu coupable d'homicide qualifié, de recel de cadavre et de corruption de mineurs. Les jurés ont retenu les circonstances aggravantes liées au mobile futile, à la cruauté et à l'usage de moyens ayant empêché la défense de la victime. Deux adolescents font également l'objet de procédures pour des infractions analogues à un homicide.

Lors du procès, João Paulo a nié avoir directement participé au meurtre, mais a avoué avoir aidé à enterrer le corps. La mère de la victime a témoigné de la souffrance de la famille. La sentence a été prononcée jeudi.
