Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden has placed the team's duo of Joey Porter Jr. and Jamel Dean fifth among NFL cornerback pairings.
Haden made the assessment earlier this week during an appearance on his Deebo and Joe podcast. He said the pair will produce plays and interceptions once they begin working together in the upcoming season.
Porter performed strongly to close the 2025 campaign by reducing penalties and covering top receivers effectively. Dean posted strong coverage numbers last season, allowing completions on under half of targets and yielding a 63.1 passer rating when thrown at.
Both players favor a physical style near the line of scrimmage. Haden noted that other top duos have already played together, while this group has yet to do so on the field.
