Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Daylen Everette has drawn increased attention following spring practices.
The third-round draft pick from April has shown promise that could position him to challenge for a top backup role at cornerback.
Everette worked with good size, speed and athleticism in drills. He reportedly held his own against receiver DK Metcalf during practice sessions.
The Steelers' cornerback group features Joey Porter Jr., Jamel Dean and Jalen Ramsey as the top three, with Ramsey shifting to the slot. Asante Samuel Jr. was also retained.
Former head coach Mike Tomlin resigned after the team finished 10-7 and won the AFC North last season.
