Koepka credits family for PGA Tour return happiness

Brooks Koepka said the chance to spend more time with his wife and son has been the highlight of his return to the PGA Tour. The five-time major winner spoke at a pre-tournament press conference ahead of the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open.

Koepka, who has made 14 starts since rejoining the PGA Tour in January via the Returning Member Program, described the move as a relief after keeping plans secret from most people.

“What have I been most pleased with? I think I’ve been most pleased with just the happiness that I have,” he told reporters. “I look at I’m able to be around my son a lot more. Jena is able to be around and they are able to travel to a lot more events.”

The golfer said his four-under 66 in Thursday’s opening round at the Renaissance Club reflected his improved state of mind. He added that his putting has been the main disappointment since switching tours.

Koepka declined to comment on whether other LIV Golf players might follow him back to the PGA Tour, stating he was focused only on himself and his family.
