Lena Willemark received the prestigious Jussi Björling Scholarship during a gala concert at Confidencen in Ulriksdal.
The event took place during Sunday's memorial concert. Willemark is known as one of the Nordic region's most versatile musicians with roots in folk music from Älvdalen.
She has developed an expression spanning folk music, ballads, jazz and art music. As a riksspelman, composer and six-time Grammy winner she has united a strong traditional heritage with great artistic breadth.
The scholarship was presented during the concert at Confidencen.
