Lucas Forsell leaves Färjestad for Timrå IK

Forward Lucas Forsell has decided to join Timrå IK ahead of the 2026/27 SHL season after several years with Färjestad.

Forsell, who entered Färjestad's junior program in 2019, appeared in 208 SHL games and recorded 45 points before the move. He said he sought a fresh start after two tougher seasons and viewed Timrå as a strong environment for player development.

The decision brings Forsell back together with former teammate Marcus Westfält, who left Färjestad before last season. Forsell contacted Westfält before signing and received positive feedback about the club.

Both players are currently in summer training with Timrå, where Forsell has reported only favorable early impressions of his new surroundings.
