Le président Ferdinand Marcos Jr. a ordonné aux agences gouvernementales de renforcer leur soutien aux inventeurs philippins, soulignant la nécessité de protéger leurs droits de propriété intellectuelle, de garantir l'accès aux bourses de recherche et de transformer les idées en startups. S'exprimant lors de la remise des prix du Concours national des inventions et expositions à Malacañang, le président Marcos a reconnu les défis auxquels les inventeurs sont confrontés, notamment le manque de fonds et l'accès limité aux technologies modernes.

Il a affirmé que le véritable défi consiste à commercialiser les inventions afin qu'elles puissent profiter au public.

"J'ai donné des instructions au ministère de la Science et de la Technologie ainsi qu'à toutes les autres agences gouvernementales compétentes pour renforcer le soutien financier et technique apporté à nos inventeurs", a déclaré Marcos.

Cette directive vise à améliorer la protection des droits de propriété intellectuelle et à accélérer l'innovation dans le pays.
