Oregon card shop suspends yu-gi-oh tournament over hygiene

A Beaverton card store has suspended its local Yu-Gi-Oh events for one week after receiving complaints about poor hygiene among participants.

Chronos Games & Gifts announced the suspension in its official Discord server. The shop cited multiple bad reviews and issues with restroom use as reasons for the decision.

The store referenced official Konami guidelines introduced in 2019. Those rules state that players whose clothing is excessively dirty or bad-smelling can be penalized or asked to leave.

Similar complaints have surfaced at other Yu-Gi-Oh events in recent years. The Chronos message urged attendees to follow the guidelines and report violations.
