OSCE/ODIHR has decided not to send observers to Sweden's autumn election. The decision followed a visit to the country in the spring.
The official election observation body OSCE/ODIHR will not send any observers to Sweden's autumn election. The organisation made the decision after conducting a needs assessment during the spring.
Ahead of every election in Sweden the government invites OSCE and its election monitoring body ODIHR. They usually respond with a so-called Needs Assessment Mission.
This means no international election monitoring from OSCE will take place during the upcoming vote.
