Les Proteas féminines ont remporté la série T20I 4-1 face à l'Inde, la capitaine Laura Wolvaardt ayant inscrit un record de 330 points. Cette victoire permet à l'équipe de faire le plein de confiance avant la Coupe du monde T20 féminine de l'ICC en Angleterre et au Pays de Galles.

La série s'est conclue le 27 avril au Willowmoore Park de Benoni. Wolvaardt, qui n'avait inscrit que 97 points lors de la tournée en Nouvelle-Zélande en mars, a signé quatre demi-centuries face à l'Inde.

Elle a attribué son retour en forme à son repositionnement à l'ouverture de l'ordre de batte et à une plus grande clarté d'esprit. « Face à l'Inde, j'ai eu l'impression que tout se mettait en place et que j'avais retrouvé mon rythme », a déclaré Wolvaardt au Daily Maverick.

L'équipe a montré des progrès en défense et dans les phases finales de bowling, bien que les contributions du milieu de l'ordre au-delà de Wolvaardt et Suné Luus soient restées limitées. L'Afrique du Sud débutera sa campagne de Coupe du monde contre l'Australie le 13 juin à Manchester.
