Sakaja suspend le responsable de l'urbanisme après son arrestation par l'EACC pour corruption

Le gouverneur de Nairobi, Johnson Sakaja, a suspendu le directeur de l'urbanisme du comté, Patrick Analo, après que l'EACC a découvert 65,3 millions de KSh lors d'une perquisition à son domicile.

Sakaja a annoncé la suspension d'Analo et la nomination de Dominic Mutegi au poste de directeur par intérim le 5 juin 2026. Cette décision fait suite à une perquisition effectuée la veille par l'EACC au domicile d'Analo à Syokimau. L'EACC a saisi 51,3 millions de KSh et 113 000 dollars américains, ainsi que des titres de propriété et des véhicules. La commission a déclaré que ces fonds constituaient le produit de la corruption et a écrit à la mairie pour exiger la suspension immédiate d'Analo. Sakaja a également suspendu le comité technique de l'urbanisme et a interrompu toutes les approbations de projets de développement jusqu'à sa reconstitution. Il a déclaré que le comté coopérerait avec les enquêteurs et que la corruption n'avait pas sa place dans le service public.
