Des mères en quête de vérité manifestent à Mexico le 10 mai

Des centaines de mères à la recherche de leurs enfants disparus ont manifesté dimanche à Mexico pour réclamer justice et critiquer l'inaction du gouvernement face à une crise impliquant 134 000 personnes portées disparues.

Le cortège est parti vers 10h00 du Monument à la Mère en direction de l'Ange de l'Indépendance. Les participantes ont partagé les récits des disparitions de leurs proches et ont souligné le nombre croissant de mères se joignant au mouvement chaque année. Josefina Morales Rocha, dont le fils a disparu en 2013, a déclaré que le 10 mai est une journée sombre sans rien à célébrer. Alicia Trejo, dont le fils a disparu en 2012, a affirmé que la participation croissante montre que le problème s'aggrave, bien que la peur et les obligations familiales retiennent certaines mères. Graciela Pérez Rodríguez, qui a fondé un collectif dans l'État de Tamaulipas, a insisté sur la nécessité de rendre visibles les familles incomplètes. Socorro Gil a critiqué la présidente Claudia Sheinbaum pour avoir laissé les mères seules et ne pas les soutenir directement.
