Clown de Slipknot révèle avoir besoin d'une opération cardiaque

Shawn « Clown » Crahan, seul membre fondateur restant de Slipknot, a déclaré qu'il devait subir une opération cardiaque après avoir appris qu'il souffrait d'arythmie. Le percussionniste de 56 ans a partagé la nouvelle dans le podcast Tetragrammaton de Rick Rubin, décrivant des épisodes au cours desquels il a l'impression d'être en train de mourir.

Crahan a expliqué qu'il a découvert cette pathologie après sa dernière tournée, lorsque le personnel médical a eu des difficultés à obtenir un électrocardiogramme et a initialement suspecté une crise cardiaque. Il a noté que son rythme cardiaque reste bas, à 43 battements par minute pendant la journée malgré son surpoids, grâce à son fort contrôle mental, mais qu'il peut chuter soudainement et le laisser dans un état de malaise extrême. L'intervention, qui concerne le système électrique du cœur, est décrite comme simple, avec une sortie le jour même et sans nécessité d'opération à cœur ouvert ou de pose de stimulateur cardiaque comme il le craignait initialement.
