Two people in their 80s have died after a collision between two cars on National Road 40 outside Borås on Midsummer's Eve.
The accident occurred when one of the cars attempted to change direction through an opening in the median barrier and was hit from behind. In that car were a man and a woman in their 80s, both of whom died on the way to hospital.
In the other car was a man in his 30s who sustained minor injuries. He was taken to hospital and remained conscious after the crash.
The case is classified as gross negligence in traffic and causing another's death. No suspects have been identified so far. Relatives have been notified of the deaths.
