Analyst sees bright future for Troy Fautanu with Steelers

Analyst Steve Palazzolo expressed confidence in Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Troy Fautanu's outlook, even with a potential shift to left tackle during the offseason.

Palazzolo said Thursday on his Check the Mic podcast that Fautanu has been solid when healthy despite injuries over two seasons. He noted Fautanu was limited to 55 snaps as a rookie before playing right tackle last year after a serious knee injury.

Fautanu, the Steelers' first-round pick in 2024, started at right tackle in 2025. The team has moved him to left tackle for offseason practices amid uncertainty around Broderick Jones, who is recovering from a neck injury.

Palazzolo said Fautanu looked fine at right tackle and that the Steelers are in a good spot. He added that left tackle was Fautanu's primary position in college and that his athletic profile supports the move.
