Astros call up prospect Alimber Santa for bullpen help

The Houston Astros are bringing up right-hander Alimber Santa from Triple-A to bolster their struggling bullpen ahead of this weekend's series against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Santa, the team's No. 16 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, will arrive in Chicago prior to Friday's game. The 23-year-old has posted a 1.42 ERA and 0.90 WHIP with 24 strikeouts in 19 relief innings for Sugar Land this season. His fastball has averaged 94.4 mph.
