James Cameron’s third Avatar installment, Avatar: Fire and Ash, earned $65.6 million internationally and $86 million worldwide during its fourth weekend, elevating its overseas cumulative to $888 million (from $777.1 million) and global total to $1.23 billion (from $1.08 billion). The Disney 20th Century release has surpassed Lilo & Stitch ($1.03 billion) as the second-highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2025, though it trails the franchise originals at $2.9 billion (2009) and $2.3 billion (2022’s The Way of Water).

Disney’s Zootopia 2 added $30.8 million overseas and $40.9 million globally in its seventh weekend, lifting international earnings to $1.27 billion and the worldwide total to $1.65 billion, solidifying it as Walt Disney Animation Studios’ highest-grossing film.

Lionsgate’s psychological thriller The Housemaid, directed by Paul Feig from Freida McFadden’s book and starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, grossed $25.5 million across 66 overseas markets in its fourth weekend—including a #1 debut in the United Kingdom at $23.7 million—bringing international totals to $98.3 million (from ~$57 million) and worldwide to $192.5 million (from $133 million) on a $35 million budget.

Sony’s Anaconda remake with Jack Black and Paul Rudd passed $100 million globally at $110.1 million, including $55.8 million overseas through its third weekend. Chloe Zhao’s drama Hamnet, starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, debuted in the United Kingdom and Ireland to $4.2 million, for a worldwide total of $17.1 million.
