Bentley has revealed the name of its first fully electric vehicle, the Torcal, and shared a teaser image of the model. The luxury automaker will officially unveil the car on September 23 in London.

Bentley confirmed the Torcal name on July 6 alongside a rear-view teaser image. The vehicle will join the Bentayga, Bacalar and Batur in the lineup and takes its name from the El Torcal de Antequera rock formation in Spain.

CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser said the Torcal sets extraordinary benchmarks in every area that matters and may be the most considered car in the company's history. The model is described as a five-meter-long SUV with more than 300 miles of range.

The Torcal will be built at Bentley's Crewe factory and is expected to use the PPE platform shared with other Volkswagen Group electric vehicles such as the Porsche Cayenne. It follows earlier testing sightings in the Arctic Circle and at the Nürburgring.
