The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up shortstop prospect Cooper Pratt from Triple-A Nashville ahead of their home series against the Cleveland Guardians.
The 21-year-old was selected as the team's No. 4 prospect and ranked No. 63 overall by MLB Pipeline. He signed an eight-year, $50.75 million contract with Milwaukee in April.
Pratt hit .241/.349/.386 with six home runs and 17 stolen bases in 58 games at Triple-A this season. His defense at shortstop stands out as his strongest skill after earning Minor League Gold Glove honors in 2024.
The Brewers hold a five-game lead in the NL Central with a 43-26 record entering Monday. Pratt is expected to provide immediate defensive value while the team addresses production issues at shortstop and third base.
The promotion was first reported Sunday by MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. The series against the Guardians begins Tuesday.
