Bud Cauley claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday, using the Titleist GTS2 driver. The win marks the second straight success for Titleist’s newest driver line ahead of the U.S. Open.
Cauley switched to the GTS2 at the Valero Texas Open after praising its stability, spin consistency, sound and feel. He has since climbed 44 spots in the PGA Tour’s strokes gained off the tee ranking.
The victory came in his 239th PGA Tour start. Last week J.T. Poston also won with a GTS model at the Memorial.
More than 65 players are now using a GTS driver at this week’s U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, including Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Cameron Young.
