Cruz Azul beat Toluca 3-1 in the 2026 Campeón de Campeones match held in California. The Cementeros secured the title with goals from José Paradela and Carlos Rodríguez.
Cruz Azul controlled the game from the start at Dignity Health Sports Park. José Paradela opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a low shot after recovering the ball in the attacking zone.
Toluca leveled the score before halftime through a free kick taken by Alexis Vega. In the second half Cruz Azul improved and Carlos Rodríguez scored the 2-1 with a cross shot after a team move.
Paradela extended the lead with another free kick to complete his brace. Goalkeeper Kevin Mier made key saves that prevented a comeback by the Red Devils.
This title gives Cruz Azul a spot in the Campeones Cup against Inter Miami of MLS. The side coached by Joel Huiqui continues its strong form after winning the Clausura 2026.
