The second season of Diarra From Detroit will premiere globally on Paramount+ on July 29. Two episodes launch the eight-episode run, with new installments airing weekly on Wednesdays through September 9.
The series follows title character Diarra as she tries to enjoy a hot girl summer but gets pulled into a triple homicide investigation and a citywide treasure hunt. This time around, what starts as a seemingly harmless furniture recovery mission quickly spirals into a triple homicide investigation, a citywide treasure hunt and another trip deep into Detroit's criminal underbelly, the official logline states. Diarra Kilpatrick stars opposite Dominique Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark, and Jon Chaffin. Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad, and Harry Lennix also return, joined by guest stars including Cliff Method Man Smith, Morris Chestnut, and Glynn Turman. Season 1, originally on BET+ in 2024, is now available to stream on Paramount+.
