Best friends Björns Ellen Eriksson and Viktor Olsson have been named the kranspar for Vansbrosimningen 2026. They will greet the winners at the finish line in several races during the event starting this weekend.
The event in Vansbro runs from June 27 to July 4. Up to 13,000 participants are expected, an increase from 2025. Ellen Eriksson, 23, and Viktor Olsson, 24, both live in Vansbro and have been involved in the swim for several years.
Sports chief Britta Granberg says the organizers select kranspar who are role models and active in local associations. She says they were very happy when Ellen and Viktor accepted.
Ellen has swum Vansbro Tjejsim four times and will take part again this year. Viktor has handed out medals at the finish for several years. They will greet the winners in the Vansbrosimningen, Vansbro Tjejsim and Vansbro 10K races.
