Ethiopia National Dialogue continues in sub-group discussions

The National Dialogue Conference in Addis Ababa continued its sub-group discussions on July 14, 2018 EC.

The National Dialogue Commission officially opened the historic conference in Addis Ababa on July 8, 2018 EC. After the first four days of pre-consultation and acquaintance, the event moved to its main phase on July 13.

More than 4,000 participants are divided into 80 sub-groups to discuss eight national agendas. Each sub-group consists of 50 consultants. The process continues until July 15.

A panel of about 80 experts provides clarification on agenda points. More than 50 neutral observers from civil society organizations and human rights bodies monitor the discussions. A total of 160 facilitators and 256 rapporteurs have been assigned.
