Father's day in Stade district passes quietly

Police in the Stade district described this year's Father's Day as relatively quiet, citing mixed weather as a key factor.

Despite the overall calm, police responded to four physical altercations by late evening. A total of five people sustained minor injuries. The incidents occurred in Brobergen, at the Lühe landing stage, in Ruschwedel and at an ice cream parlor in Buxtehude.

Fewer young people went on Father's Day tours than last year. Nevertheless, around 1500 people gathered at popular spots. The largest group, numbering about 700, assembled in Brobergen.
