Google Calendar is increasing the number of colors available for events from 11 to 200. The update includes 24 default options and an RGB picker for web users. It is rolling out now to all account types.
The change allows users to select from a wider range of hues for better organization. Web users gain access to a full RGB color picker while mobile users are limited to the 24 defaults.
The feature activates by default but can be adjusted in settings. It applies to Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers and personal accounts.
The update follows recent additions including personal task scheduling and an AI tool for suggesting meeting times. Full availability may take up to two weeks.
