Google introduced several new AI features during its I/O 2026 developer conference this week in Mountain View, California. The updates center on an enhanced search experience and a new autonomous assistant called Gemini Spark.
The company is rolling out its intelligent AI-powered Search box globally. Users will be able to input images, video files and entire Chrome tabs, with the system using AI to anticipate intent and help formulate questions. An AI Mode powered by Gemini 3.5 Flash remains available for follow-up queries.
