One week after federal kidnapping charges were filed against Pooh Shiesty for allegedly holding Gucci Mane at gunpoint in a Dallas studio, Gucci Mane has released a diss track titled “Crash Dummy.” Produced by Zaytoven, the song contains lyrics alluding to the betrayal without directly naming Shiesty. Pooh Shiesty and associates, including Big30, face potential life sentences if convicted.
The incident, detailed in prior coverage, involved Pooh Shiesty (Lontrell Williams Jr.) and eight others from Memphis confronting Gucci Mane (Radric Davis) at his studio over disputes with his 1017 Records contract. Prosecutors described it as an 'armed takeover,' with the group robbing victims of jewelry, cash, and more.
In “Crash Dummy,” Gucci Mane raps about the setup: “I thought it was a business meeting, but it was a set up.” He takes shots at Shiesty’s actions and heritage: “Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy / And after all that, boy, you still signed to me.” Additional lines reference betrayal: “They smile in your face, then they stab you in your back / You learn from your daddy, so I guess that it's hereditary.”
Gucci Mane, who recently released a memoir and album titled Episodes in 2025, uses the track to publicly address the fallout from the January 10 event.
