The Henderson Silver Knights advanced to the Pacific Division semifinals after sweeping the San Jose Barracuda 2-0 in their first-round series. They secured the sweep with a 5-1 victory in Game 2 on Friday, April 24. The team now prepares to face Colorado, with the series starting May 1 at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson.
Braeden Bowman, Raphael Lavoie, Alexander Holtz, Jeremy Davies and Lucas Johansen each scored once for the Silver Knights in Game 2. Trevor Connelly, who netted the overtime winner in Game 1, added two assists. Goaltender Carl Lindbom stopped 26 shots and extended his unbeaten streak in regulation to 22 decisions at 20-0-2. Egor Afanasyev tallied the lone goal for San Jose, while Laurent Brossoit made 27 saves on 30 shots. Game 1 on April 22 ended 5-4 in overtime for Henderson. The Silver Knights will host the first game of their next-round matchup against Colorado on May 1 at Lee’s Family Forum.
