The arrival phase for regular Indonesian hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia ended on Friday, May 22, 2026. All groups are now preparing for the peak rites at Arafah.
Kloter SUB 116 from Surabaya was the final group to land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. A total of 2,288 pilgrims from six groups arrived gradually aboard Saudi Arabian Airlines flights.
Airport Daker chief Abdul Basir said the closure process ran smoothly with no significant issues. All pilgrims were in good health and were immediately transported to accommodations in Makkah.
Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak advised pilgrims to carry personal medicines, light snacks, umbrellas, sunblock, and comfortable sandals. He confirmed the ministry would provide meals at Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina.
Ustaz Muhammad Abduh Tuasikal listed the three main practices during wukuf as prayer, dhikr including talbiyah, and reading the Quran. Police coordination with Saudi authorities was also strengthened for pilgrim protection.
