Kevin Knight defended the AEW TNT Championship against Darby Allin on the July 22 episode of AEW Dynamite. The match took place at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee.
Knight secured the victory with an underhanded tactic involving his championship belt. After Darby Allin accidentally knocked referee Paul Turner out of the ring, Knight grabbed the title and struck Allin with it following a failed Scorpion Death Drop attempt by the challenger.
Knight then delivered a Coast-To-Coast Drop Kick and a UFO Splash to pin Allin for the win. The bout featured intense action both inside and outside the ring, including Allin busting open after being sent into the steel steps.
This marked Knight's continued run as champion ahead of his scheduled AEW World Championship match against Kenny Omega at AEW Redemption 2026. Allin had previously defeated Knight in May.
