Christopher Nolan's blockbuster drew more than 186 thousand spectators in its second weekend in Chile. The figure marks a 27% rise from opening weekend and brings global earnings to US$ 639 million.
During its second weekend La Odisea gathered more than 186 thousand spectators in Chilean theaters. This exceeds the 146 thousand attendees from opening weekend by 27%.
Francisco Lyon, marketing manager of Universal Pictures in Chile, said interest grew after exceptional conditions such as a weather front and the World Cup final passed. Attendance on Sunday 26 rose 122% compared with the previous Sunday.
Globally the film earned US$ 90 million in the United States, a drop of only 27% from the first weekend. The movie will reach China on August 14.
