The game takes place in an open-world Gotham where players glide and grapple as Batman, solving Riddler puzzles and engaging in QTE-driven combat with punches, kicks, and parries. Bruce Wayne also rides a motorcycle and the Batmobile, using tools like explosive gel to break walls. Executive producer Matt Ellison highlighted the combat's accessibility, noting that players can choose low-stress modes or the challenging Dark Knight setting with stealth and gadget use.
