Madeon announces Victory album with Slayyyter track

French producer Madeon has revealed details of his first full-length album in seven years, Victory, set for release on June 26 via Mom+Pop. The lead single 'Fire Away,' featuring Slayyyter, debuted at Coachella this month. The record also includes contributions from Sam Gellaitry and Erick the Architect.

Madeon, known for his work as a producer, singer, and songwriter, is preparing Victory, his first album since 2019. The project features guitar from Bleachers' Mikey Freedom Hart throughout. 'Fire Away' leads the tracklist, which includes songs like 'Hi!', 'Car Crash Baby,' and 'Super Platinum' with Flatbush Zombies' Erick the Architect, as well as 'Red Jacket' featuring Sam Gellaitry. Madeon debuted the Slayyyter collaboration at Coachella earlier this month. The album is scheduled to arrive June 26 via Mom+Pop. In a press release, Madeon described 'Fire Away' as “perhaps the most anthemic record on the album.” He added, “It’s a song about love as warfare, words like weapons of the brokenhearted. Slayyyter embodied the other side of the story and her voice took the song to another level, her performance has so much confidence and attitude, she’s electric.” Slayyyter expressed her excitement in a statement written in all caps: “I’ve been a fan of Madeon for such a long time; I am $o grateful to have gotten to work with him on this record. I love what we made together.”
