Manohara cuts contact with birth mother over abuse experiences

Manohara Odelia Pinot has revealed on Instagram why she cut ties with her birth mother, Daisy Fajarina, citing a childhood marked by emotional, psychological, and physical abuse. She also rejects being labeled the ex-wife of the Prince of Kelantan, stressing that the incident occurred without her consent as a teenager. These disclosures highlight her traumatic past.

Manohara Odelia Pinot, born on February 28, 1992, has once again drawn public attention with long posts on her personal Instagram account in early January 2026. Responding to a netizen's question about her relationship with her birth mother, Daisy Fajarina, Manohara clarified that she deliberately cut contact, not lost it accidentally.

"Additional note, I didn't lose contact, I chose to cut contact," she stated firmly. She debunked the public image of closeness, calling it a constructed facade to protect her mother's reputation. Manohara described growing up in an environment of manipulation and violence. "Personally, I grew up with long-term emotional and psychological abuse, and sometimes physical abuse. I was repeatedly manipulated and exploited," she revealed.

She further touched on her teenage years, when she was forced into dangerous situations for her mother's benefit, causing lasting damage. This alludes to her experience with the Prince of Kelantan, which she now rejects labeling as a marriage. In a separate post, Manohara urged Indonesian media, including editors, digital platforms, Google, and Wikipedia, to stop using the term "ex-wife of the Prince of Kelantan".

"What happened during my teenage years was not a relationship I wanted, consented to, or entered into voluntarily," she wrote. She deemed the label misleading and unethical, as it obscures the facts of coercion while she was underage. These admissions underscore the long-term impact of her trauma, without adding new details beyond her own statements.
