Mizuno unveils two new Wave Prophecy Moc sneakers

Mizuno has released two new versions of its Wave Prophecy Moc sneaker. One features washi paper and appears in an LVMH exhibition while the other is a public collaboration with designer Setsumasa Kobayashi.

The Japanese brand introduced the updated models almost simultaneously this week. The first replaces the usual leather upper with handmade washi paper for a special edition shown at the Métiers d'Art headquarters of LVMH during a Japanese craft exhibition.

The second version comes from a collaboration with Setsumasa Kobayashi, founder of Mountain Research. It adds a clunky strap and appears in chocolate brown with navy panels, along with a black colorway option.

Only the Kobayashi collaboration is scheduled for public release. The paper edition remains part of the exhibition display.
