Modo and Leksand are actively working to strengthen their rosters. According to reports from Expressen, both teams have the right-shot defenseman on their radar as they look to add depth ahead of the season.

Several Swedish hockey players with NHL experience are making moves back to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) amid recent announcements and reports. Defenseman Sebastian Aho is set to join Växjö next season, while Robert Hägg has extended his stay with Brynäs until 2028. Samuel Johannesson is reportedly joining Frölunda immediately to bolster their defense.

Modo Hockey has acquired defenseman Elias Rosén from Växjö Lakers. The 27-year-old Leksands product is moving despite one year left on his contract.

Max Veronneau will leave Leksand after the team's relegation from SHL. Allsvenskan side Modo has expressed interest in the Canadian forward, though other clubs are also in the race, reports Expressen. His agent is pushing for a deal in SHL but has yet to secure one.

Morten Madsen has returned to Modo Hockey in Örnsköldsvik as assistant coach for the men's team, signing a two-year contract alongside new head coach Mikael Karlberg. The 39-year-old Dane previously played for the club from 2009 to 2013, including as assistant captain.

Leksand has added 26-year-old Canadian defenseman Carter Berger to its roster for the Hockeyallsvenskan season. Berger joins after a season split across three clubs in North America and Europe.

Modo Hockey has appointed Mikael Karlberg as its new head coach ahead of the next season. The multi-year contract runs through the end of the 2028/29 campaign. Karlberg brings extensive experience from Leksand and a recent stint at Färjestad BK.
