OpenAI adds Codex to ChatGPT mobile app

OpenAI has integrated its Codex coding tool into the ChatGPT mobile app for iOS and Android. The update lets users manage remote coding sessions from their phones without keeping laptops open.

OpenAI announced the feature this week. It allows users to connect to Codex running on their computers and review outputs, approve commands or start new tasks directly from the mobile app. The rollout is in preview across all plans, including Free and Go, on supported iOS and Android devices. Support for Windows is coming soon, the company said.
