Over 3,550 trainees graduate from Egyptian-Italian vocational programmes

More than 3,550 trainees have graduated from free vocational programmes under a partnership between Egypt's Ministry of Labor and the Italian Salesian Institute Don Bosco.

Minister of Labor Hassan Radad met with a delegation from the institute to discuss continuation of the free training programmes and development of ministry-affiliated training centres. The talks focused on aligning vocational training with international standards to provide decent job opportunities for youth inside and outside Egypt.

At the Cairo branch 2,750 trainees graduated out of a target of 3,321 across 23 professions plus English and Italian language courses and life skills training. An additional 800 trainees benefited from the first phase at the Alexandria branch bringing the total to 3,550 out of an overall target of 4,121.

Radad affirmed the ministry's commitment to enhancing cooperation with partners that possess vocational training expertise. The two sides also coordinated preparations for an upcoming employment fair and the 100th anniversary celebration of the Don Bosco Institute in Cairo.
