A Bethlehem man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after pleading guilty to the first-degree murder of his wife. James Christopher Frank, 58, admitted to slitting Deborah Glaser's throat and stabbing her chest multiple times in March 2025.
Frank was sentenced on Wednesday by a Northampton County court. He pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 55-year-old Glaser, court records show.
The crime occurred on the evening of March 11, 2025, at a home in the 2100 block of 3rd Street in Bethlehem, about 70 miles north of Philadelphia. Police responded after a family member expressed concern for the residents.
Officers found Glaser in the bathtub with multiple stab wounds. Frank told police his wife was dead and later admitted using a steak knife to cut her throat while she was alive, then using a knife and hammer to puncture her chest about 10 times to ensure she was dead.
District Attorney Stephen Baratta described the injuries as gruesome and noted that Frank had missed work in the days leading up to the discovery of the body.
