Police condemn killing of Benue MACBAN chairman

The Benue State Police Command has condemned the killing of the Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Ardo Risku Muhammad, and Yakubu Isa, describing the attack as a senseless criminal act.

Ardo Risku Muhammad and Yakubu Isa were attacked and killed by unknown assailants on Friday while returning from a security meeting along the Okudu-Ogoli Road in Otukpo Local Government Area.

Commissioner of Police Cletus Nwadiogbu expressed deep concern over the incident. “The Command sees this unfortunate incident as a senseless and criminal act that is capable of undermining the peace and security efforts currently being sustained across the state,” he said.

The police have launched a full-scale investigation and deployed tactical and intelligence assets to apprehend those responsible. Nwadiogbu appealed to the public to remain calm and to provide any credible information to aid the inquiry.
