Attendees included Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
According to Teddy Indra Wijaya, the meeting lasted from afternoon to evening. Prabowo received a report from Dasco, as head of the DPR's Post-Disaster Recovery Task Force, on the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra following flash floods and landslides. "Report from Prof. Dasco as Head of the DPR RI Post-Disaster Recovery Task Force regarding reconstruction and rehabilitation of three provinces in Sumatra," stated the official Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet.
Additionally, Prabowo assigned special tasks for early 2026 to each participant. However, the specifics of these tasks were not disclosed. "Special early-year assignments from the President to each meeting participant," noted the official statement.
This meeting followed a coordination session led by Prabowo in Aceh Tamiang on Thursday, January 1, 2026. There, he emphasized the government's openness to aid from various parties, including regional diasporas, to accelerate recovery. "If there are parties who sincerely want to help, of course we, as humans, won't refuse aid. As long as the assistance is clear," Prabowo said. He added that all aid must be channeled through orderly and accountable mechanisms, potentially including special local bank accounts.
Previously, on December 30, 2025, Dasco chaired a DPR coordination meeting with the Post-Disaster Recovery Task Force to align perceptions and avoid budget overlaps. This report had been conveyed to Prabowo to support 2026 recovery initiatives.
