Real Madrid president tells Bayern no summer bid for Michael Olise

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has told Bayern Munich the Spanish club has no intention of signing Michael Olise this summer. The statement comes amid reports that the forward wants to leave Bayern after the World Cup.

Perez made the assurance directly to Bayern officials, who said they trust the message fully because of their strong relationship with Madrid. Bayern president Herbert Hainer had already stated in June that the club is not a selling club and advised Madrid against making an offer.

Olise joined Bayern from Crystal Palace for £50.8 million in 2024. He earned Bundesliga Rookie of the Season honors in 2024/25 and Player of the Season in 2025/26 after recording 53 direct goal contributions in 52 matches. During the recent World Cup, the 24-year-old reportedly made clear his desire to depart while with the France squad.

Madrid released a public statement in June confirming no contact with Olise. The club has instead completed two paid signings this summer, adding Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella. Bayern remain firm that the player is not available for transfer.
