Saúl Monreal denies supporting Nazi groups after swastika video appearance

Senator Saúl Monreal clarified that he does not promote Nazi symbols or hateful stances after sharing a video in which he appears with a musician wearing a swastika shirt.

Saúl Monreal posted a video on social media to deny any link to Nazi expressions. He stated that he neither shares nor supports symbols of hate, discrimination or violence.

The Morena member explained that the video is part of his Jueves de Rolita section, a space of more than four years to interact with followers through music. On this occasion he recorded at the studio of the band Bad Men, where the bassist wore the shirt with the swastika.

Monreal regretted the omission in failing to notice the symbol and asked his team to remove the video. He noted that the format seeks to generate respect and that the situation became politicized without his intention.

The senator aspires to the governorship of Zacatecas in 2027, where his brother David Monreal currently governs, although he faces restrictions due to the anti-nepotism clause in Morena.
