The southwest monsoon and Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring rain showers to parts of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao on Saturday, according to PAGASA.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, the southwest monsoon is affecting parts of Luzon and the Visayas while the ITCZ prevails over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
Weather specialist Veronica Torres said the southwest monsoon is expected to trigger rains in Metro Manila, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan. In the Visayas, it will bring rains over Iloilo, Antique, and Guimaras.
The ITCZ will bring rains to Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the Davao Region. No gale warning is in effect over any of the country’s seaboards. Meanwhile, Severe Tropical Storm Gardo exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday.
