Police were alerted at 17:58 on Wednesday to Verkstadsgatan in Arlöv after a patrol found a suspicious dangerous object in a basement of a multi-family house. The discovery occurred during an investigation case, according to police spokesperson Jakob Palmgren at the command center. The National Bomb Squad (NBS) was called to investigate and assess the object. Police established cordons in the area and instructed residents to stay indoors. A few curious onlookers gathered outside the barriers, but the area remained calm during the evening. Police also conducted a dog search in the vicinity. At 20:45, NBS was still on site, with no assessment of the object released at that time. The cordons were lifted around 21:30. “There should be no danger to the public,” said Jakob Palmgren. Police have not disclosed details about the nature of the object.
