X4 Pictures will release 'Dr. Q' digitally starting May 4 on platforms including Amazon Prime, Fandango at Home, Cox and Comcast. Tara Reid, known for roles in American Pie and Sharknado, stars as a psychiatrist who grapples with her own mental state while trying to help her stranded family and patients during a mental health crisis. The movie is directed by White Cross and written by Cross and Jared Vineyard, with production by Tatu Behind the Stars. Reid described the film as “a mental health piece drawing attention to the mental health crisis around the world experienced after lockdown. It’s a story of loss but it’s also a story of resilience. I know this story will help so many who went through similar circumstances alone not feel as alone anymore. It’s an important piece.” Mat Levy, partner at X4 Pictures, praised the project, saying, “What grabbed us about Dr. Q is the rawness of the script and character. Tara Reid gives a bold award-winning performance that we are excited for fans to identify with and experience.”
