The Darkness shares 80s theme song for Masters of the Universe

The Darkness has released an 80s-inspired theme song for the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. The track, titled Eternia, features a guitar solo by Queen’s Brian May.

The band announced the song on May 31 with a statement that read, “We dusted off our trusty loincloths, assembled in the courtyard of Castle Darkness and bellowed in unison, ‘WE HAVE THE POWER’.” Brian May contributed the guitar solo to the track, which was written by Justin and Dan Hawkins along with film composer Daniel Pemberton. The movie stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Jared Leto as Skeletor and Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms. It is scheduled to reach cinemas on June 5.
