Three-year-old girl missing in Siloé found alive

A three-year-old girl who disappeared in the La Estrella sector of Siloé in Cali was found safe by volunteer firefighters and other district entities.

The case occurred during the afternoon of Monday, May 18, 2026. Relatives reported the girl missing in a wooded area of Comuna 20.

Rescue teams, including the Volunteer Firefighters Corps of Cali, carried out an operation using canine units. The Secretariat of Risk Management of Emergencies and Disasters confirmed the girl was located alive.

Secretary Ricardo Peñuela stated the minor received initial care after being found. Authorities ruled out any kidnapping claims.

Versions about a supposed goblin circulated on social media during the search, though no authority confirmed them. These accounts form part of oral traditions in rural areas of Colombia.
