Tigray residents oppose TPLF war preparations

Tigray residents have voiced opposition to TPLF actions that violate the Pretoria peace agreement and involve war preparations. Peaceful protests occurred in Addis Ababa and Mekelle with leaflets distributed.

Tigray residents in Mekelle have opposed forced military conscription through leaflets. A peaceful rally held last Saturday in Addis Ababa's Meskel Square called for peace, development and job opportunities instead of conflict.

The Prosperity Party government has worked to fully implement the Pretoria agreement since it was signed. Reports indicate that TPLF dismantled the interim administration and established contacts with foreign forces, leading to transport disruptions in Mekelle.

Tigray residents have shown strong commitment to peace after the two-year conflict. A campaign to reorganize weapons and manpower in the region has been reported.
